2nd Global Symposium in IGRAs

A satellite symposium of the Congress of the IUATLD-ER

Congratulations! The 2^nd Global Symposium on IGRAs was a resounding success. The meeting brought together leaders in the field of tuberculosis management. Over 100 presentations and abstracts were presented on the latest clinical information on using IGRAs in routine clinical practice. International experts gave their current perspectives on IGRA use in TB screening programs, with children and immune suppressed individuals. A highlight of the symposium involved a videoconference with representatives of the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, discussing current updates the CDC Guidelines. Other topics presented included economic considerations in implementing IGRAs, new insights into TB latency and risk of disease progression. We would like to thank all of those international experts in this rapidly evolving field who were able to join us.
